The Story Thus Far

Jeanne of Jadot launched a crusade against Oliver the Orotund under pretense of halting his use of black magic. In truth, she seeks possession over the Bastille Dragon, famed for the shedding of its jewel encrusted skin. After several years of siege she was able to break into the castle town. A fierce battle ensued, and fearing that his army would lose, Oliver set the Bastille Dragon loose upon the castle town. The battle was scattered across the town as both factions of soldiers fled the beast. Oliver’s attempts to recall the beast have all failed, and now it roams free wreaking havoc.

Pulled from an old Drakonomachy magazine published nearly 100 years ago comes a 4 page adventure for Cairn 2e inspired by Conan and Jirel of Joiry. Vastly under appreciated at the time as the game system did not yet exist, this entry was panned for being "too experimental" and "not containing a complete story". Now modern day readers are afforded the opportunity to explore the castle town of the famed Dragonhold, though they may find it infested with its very namesake. Will they seek to slay it for glory, or scamper off with whatever they can loot? Hopefully a mix of both, but as long as they survive it can surely be considered a victory.
